I work on short-term strategic projects or in a fractional capacity for startups and scale-ups to deliver impact in functional areas such as Customer Success, Product, and/or Operations.
Additionally, I'm available to work as a venture partner or operating partner for investing organizations such as VC firms, Private Equity (PE) firms, Family Offices, Corporate Development departments, or Corporate Venture units. My focus is supporting pre-investment diligence and working with portfolio companies on strategic projects or in a fractional capacity.

BUSINESS CREATION
I create, self-fund, and operate niche businesses in areas of personal passion for me such as fly fishing and outdoor experiences. I am also open to new business collaboration including helping entrepreneurs in the idea stage as well as the acquisition of existing businesses.
Catchflo
Catchflo was fishing's first and only fishy casual footwear brand and was a creative and fun adventure. I created and ran it from 2021 - 2025 generating $100K+ in lifetime sales but decided to end the adventure due to supply chain cost challenges and uncertainty related to US - China trade policy and tariffs as well as changes to the de minimis import value regulation.
Catcha
Catcha was fly fishing's first and only digital playbook company. It was a fun and rewarding user generated content (UGC) marketplace based business that I ran for 4 years (retired it in Jan 2023) in which I learned a lot but ultimately decided to retire the business due to challenges of scalability. Catcha was much like a blend between Substack and Patreon for fly fishing knowledge holders and those seeking knowledge.
Basecamp
Basecamp is a turnkey RV "glamping" experience that I owned and operated from 2021-2023 through a strategic partnership I created with a private land owner in Colorado and rented on Hipcamp.
Flyfisha
Flyfisha is fly fishing's first and only personal AI-powered fly fishing guru that I've created to help fly anglers save time, know more, and fish better.
STARTUP INVESTING
I invest in seed-stage venture scale startups to back founders solving real problems in markets where the timing is right for innovation and impactful new products.

My direct investment portfolio includes 120Water (exited to PE/GE Edison Partners in 2023), Clear Software (exited to Microsoft in 2021), PivotCX (exited via merger with Daxtra in 2024), and Groundwork.
Limited partner (LP)
I am an LP in M25's Fund III and am excited about all of the investment activity as M25 is the most active seed stage venture firm in the Midwest.
zworks
I was the co-founder, Board President and Executive Director of zWORKS and led all aspects of its formation, sponsorship and crowdfunded founding membership fundraising, space selection/design/buildout, and its finance and operations.
zWORKS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and is Zionsville Indiana's entrepreneurial and co-working center. zWORKS has become a "notable node" in Indiana's startup ecosystem serving 150+ members, "graduating" 25+ startup companies who've raised $75M+ in angel and venture capital
